I work collaboratively with my clients to help them become more self-aware and accepting so that they can realize their strengths, recognize what obstacles lie in their path, and take steps to make the changes they need to make. Together we will enquire into how you want to change your life, what it will take for you to make that happen, and what is blocking you.

I use a mindfulness-based cognitive therapy approach, in which I help people tap into strengths so that they can solve problems in their lives. I believe every person has a natural capacity for healing that once uncovered results in better mental and physical health. I believe it is critical to address the whole person so that mental, physical, and spiritual needs are met.

My goal is to provide counseling that promotes a higher quality of life. My hope is that my clients will find increased clarity regarding their values, needs, and goals; that they will recognize their own strengths and resiliency; that they will increase their skills for managing and reducing stress; and that they will make life changes that lead to greater well-being.

I work in a short-term, solution-focused model for people interested in solving a particular problem. I find that working intensely for a few weeks or months on an issue and then taking a break to incorporate and consolidate gains in one's life is a powerful way to make life changes.

For people interested in working through deeper issues or achieving a more complex life change, I also offer long-term therapy in which we collaborate to heal old wounds, explore deep questions of life meaning, and work towards self-actualization.
